We support the following "Pillars of Sustainability" of the
Royal National Park Environmental Education Centre

  •  Collaborative human relationships
  •   Technologies and infrastructure that support and work in harmony with nature
  •   Holistic science that regards the Earth as a living system
  •   A spirit of compassion, imagination, beauty and generosity

How does our work relate to the Australian and New South Wales School Curriculum?

Sustainability is one of the three cross-curricular priorities in the Australian Curriculum, these are:

  •  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures
  •   Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia
  •   Sustainability

"Knowledge, skills and understandings relating to sustainability in natural, social, cultural and economic environments are crucial to a world-class, futures-focused national curriculum ... successful learners (are) confident and creative individuals, and active and informed citizens. Successful learners understand their place as local and global citizens, sustaining and improving both natural and social environments."

getting a logo up needs an upgrade which will cost a bit of money - the thing is, will it really make that much of a difference though? i think it's going ok the way it is now despite limited customisation of page elements, etc.
we could talk about it at the next meeting :)

To Ms McCrossin,

As discussed on Tuesday at the SRC Meeting, could you please attach a digital copy of the Cheeki variety bottles (500ml and 750ml?) I'm planning to email my class first about it.

Thanks, Alison Zhou

HI EVERYONE,
Not sure if you're aware, but today (June 5) is World Environment Day! :) So I guess use this as an excuse to talk to people about environmental issues and maybe do something extra to help the environment.
Happy environment day! :)

Hi everyone. Great work in the video conference and the open night for the Year 7s 2013. Wonderful to see Ian Keirnan - always fighting for plastic free oceans!

it's one floor down from the science staffroom, outside s1, near where you walk into the science area from the pd rooms.
